After you have got some great exercise and expanded your appreciation for local art with a trip along the Hughes Art Walk in Uptown Waterloo why not make plans to do it again, but this time along the DTK Art Walk in Kitchener?
This amazing showcase of local art actually came about because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Downtown Kitchener Business Improvement Association (DTK BIA) and the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery (KWAG) set out to build a vibrant, engaging, and inclusive outdoor group activity while supporting local artists with a paid gig and the goal of returning business to local firms.
Both the DTK BIA and the KWAG are conscious of COVID limitations, comfort zones for citizens, and general safety. Lockdown has just hit the Waterloo Area again, but you should still be getting plenty of exercise and outdoor time.
You are bound to work up an appetite, or be a wee bit chilly, after enjoying some fresh air on your art walk. A quick and easy solution is to bring home some goodies from DTK back home with you, and there are some really great options to choose from.
